Uniform Repairs

Guard: I have made repairs to all uniforms and they will be returned tomorrow at practice. Please take 5 minutes to put it on and ensure I didn't miss any spots. Don't rely on looking at it - PUT IT ON. Check the seams, have a friend check the back seams. If I missed a spot, please write down exactly where the spot to be fixed is (under arm on lace, front seam at belly, where gold meets cream on the front, etc)

Those guard members that I don't already have your uniform: plea...se put it on and check it. TODAY! Bring it to practice tomorrow if it needs repairs. If a seam looks weak - bring it to me!!
We only have two competitions left. I would like this to be the last round of repairs if at all possible.
Thanks a bunch!

Ms. Julie

Harrison Central Competition

Dear Parents,

This weekend we are going to Harrison Central in Gulfport, MS.

We are going to start the day early. Everyone needs to be at the high school for 7 AM and we are practicing till 10 AM. However, after practice they are allowed to go back home.

They need to be back at PHS for 1:30 to load everything up and leave for 2:00. I need to know who else may have a truck to bring the props to this competition.

When they get to Harrison Central, they need to have their hair and make up done. Once they get there, they need to get their costumes on, and be completely ready to go for 5. Their warm up time is 5:38 and perform at 6:03.

Once they are done performing, they are going to load everything up, get on the bus and head home to go to their dance. However, if anyone wishes to stay at the competition and not go to the dance, that is okay. I just need to know that their parent is driving them home after retreat.

Retreat is at 8:10. If anyone does decide to stay, I will decide from there who can go down to the floor. (If there is a returning member, they get the priority). If no one stays, I will have a member from FHS receive the packet, and I will text the team scores and placing.

If you have any questions, ask away.

Thanks,

Jessica Scarborough

Dutchtown Competition

Hello all,

The next competition is at Dutchtown High School in Gesimer, near Baton Rouge.

We will start the day off practicing at Ponchatoula from 11:30-1:00. The team needs to be there for 11:00 so they can start getting everything set up.

We are leaving at 1:30. If you are riding the bus or following, please do not be late. (Cusimano Family: Can you be at PHS for 1:00 so we can load the equipment up?) Also, we are looking for a small trailer, covered or open, to haul the props in. If you have one we may borrow, please let me know ASAP!

We should arrive at Dutchtown HS around 3:20. By the time the team gets off the bus, they need their hair done, black shirt on, and jackets on. The team can have their hair done before practice if they would like.

By 3:50, the team needs to be ready to go, that means costume on. At 4:21, we will go down to warm up for 4:31. We perform at 4:56.

After the performance, the team is allowed to change back into a black shirt, and can take their hair down if they want. However, the captains cannot (need for retreat).

At 5:50, the team needs to go down to the floor loading area to help FHS Varsity with their floor.

Retreat is at 8:30 and will probably last till 9. After that, the team will get on the bus and head home.

If you have any questions, shoot me an email or call me

Thanks,

Jessica Scarborough
